Evermead Cattery (Seller) agrees to sell to the Buyer, the kitten described below for $1000_which includes a non-refundable deposit of $ 200 paid via Paypal, cash or money orders (made out to Kristina Young). If shipping is required, the Buyer is required to pay all expenses. Failure to pay in full for the kitten/cat, and shipping expenses by the agreed upon shipping date will result in the forfeit of deposit ($200) by Buyer. Any additional amount paid toward the kitten/cat will be returned to the Buyer. Seller shall then be free to place the cat with another buyer.________(Initial)

Cost of shipping: Approximately $400 to $600.

*Please note- Shipping has become increasingly difficult due to restrictions from the Covid-19 pandemic. We have been shipping with a ground courier service or flight nanny due to these restrictions. Estimates are given on an individual basis and by location.

Kittens that are placed as pets (Not For Breeding) will be spayed/neutered before going to their new homes. The kitten will be ready to go around 16 weeks. We implement this procedure to ensure that our kittens are pampered, family pets only!___________ (Initial)

Each Evermead cat/kitten will be examined by our veterinarian, Paducah Veterinary Clinic. They will have received age appropriate vaccinations FVRCP and Rabies, fecal PCR, FelV/FIV blood test and vaccination, and a complete physical exam. We require each cat/kitten to be examined by the Buyer’s veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving cat/kitten. If within the initial 72 hours, the Buyer’s veterinarian determines that the cat/kitten is unwell, a full refund will be given if the cat/kitten is returned immediately to the Seller. The cat/kitten MUST be returned before any type of refund will be given. We provide each kitten with 30 days of complimentary Trupanion pet insurance in the event of illness or injury. All veterinary services, and associated fees, required by the cat/kitten, while in the care of the Buyer, is the sole responsibility of the Buyer. After the initial 72 hours, we cannot guarantee the health and temperament of the cat/kitten and no refunds will be given of any kind. _______ (Initial)

*Congenital Guarantee

If, at any time prior to the cat/ first birthday (Date), the cat/kitten should develop a life threatening, congenital illness, the Seller will provide a replacement cat of the same gender. Evermead cattery will not request the return of the original kitten/cat in this instance. If an Evermead kitten should die within the first year of a congenital or hereditary illness, a necropsy of the kitten MUST be performed, and results shared with Evermead Siamese to obtain a replacement kitten. No monetary refunds will be given for congenital conditions._________ (Initial)

The Buyer agrees to provide proper housing and diet, fresh water, and general veterinary care for any illness or condition for the lifetime of the cat/kitten.__________ (Initial)

The Buyer agrees that this cat/kitten will at no time be sold, leased, or transferred to any pet shop, animal dealer, animal research facility, animal shelter, nor anyone who has ever been convicted of neglect or of cruelty to any human or animal. It is the intention of the Seller that this is a permanent placement. If at any time the Buyer becomes unable to keep this cat, the Seller is to be given the right of first refusal. If the Seller does not reclaim the cat, it is the responsibility of the Buyer to place the cat in an excellent pet home that meets the same conditions as stated in this contract. __________ (Initial)

Any failure to comply with these terms will result in the Seller’s repossession of the cat, plus all court costs and fees, placed on the Buyer to be paid upon proof of noncompliance.

Seller Requests

The cat should not be surgically declawed nor undergo tendon-cutting procedure.
The cat should be isolated from other pets for the first few days for the cat/kitten to acclimate to their new home. We recommend a small bathroom or laundry area.
Any changes to the cat/kittens’ diet should be make slowly as sudden diet changes may result in episodes of diarrhea. Your kitten has been fed 4 Health All Life stages dry foods. It is recommended that your kitten have access to dry food at all times and offered wet/canned cat food at the Buyer’s preference.
The cat should be given frequent and kind human attention, providing this cat with a generous amount of play and exercise. Place at least one litter box in a permanent location. We use natural pine litter.
Every attempt should be made to keep the cat indoors, unless on a leash or accompanied by their owner.
We highly recommend that your cat/kitten is micro chipped by your veterinarian. This minimally painless procedure can help relocate your cat/kitten in the event that they are lost or stolen. It can be as simple as accidentally leaving a door unlatched for a cat/kitten to get lost~ ________(Initial)

In signing this agreement, the Buyer acknowledges that he/she has read, fully understands, and agrees to all terms and conditions listed in this sales agreement.
